GORDON
VINTHER SINGLE HORN LOUDSPEAKER |
|
Gordon Vinther, after years of research, has developed
a new type of speaker.
It is a single horn with a single mouth whose frequency
response is 25 Hz to 20 kHz, +/- 5dB.
The loudspeaker, unlike most horn speakers, has a small
footprint (40 x 24 inches). It is a 6 feet tall, full spectrum horn. All
drivers use the same sound path and therefore produce a single coherent
sound wave. Integrated electronics include a flat phase crossover, bass
boost and class "t" amplifiers.
According to Mr. Vinther, the loudspeakers create a
realistic three-dimensional listening experience.
The design pays particular attention to Time Domain
considerations.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own Compact Discs
for playback.
There will be refreshments at 5:30.
