November 2020 ONLINE MEETING NOTICE

Date: Sunday, November 22, 2020, 7:00-9:00 PM

Place: ZOOM Video Conference (Scroll down for details)

Featured Guests: Chris Hart, Audio/Video Consultant

Topic: Chris Hart, Technology Consultant, will walk us through his state-of-the-art, home Audio/Video system

Fellow BAS member, Chris Hart will explain all aspects of his home Audio / Video setup.

Chris is a technology consultant and has a background in television and film production. Chris caught the audiophile bug at 13, when he bought his first hi-fi component from Tweeter in Hyannis. He loves making the home audio / video experience the best it can be and feels that great sounding music in every room of the house is one of the greatest joys in life. This goal is what drives both his system building at home, as well at the homes of clients.

Another central motivator has been to have all of his media accessible from anywhere in the house (and even outside the house) as readily and easily as possible -- something that the entire family enjoys daily. Chris and his family "cut the cord" (mostly) a few years ago and at this point about 95% of what they watch is via AppleTV -- including the movies that originated on discs. And 8 music zones are available at their whim -- either playing the same music in sync, or each zone working independently.

In a presentation that will walk you through all the rooms, Chris will detail every aspect that makes it all work. Topics discussed will include HDTV, Cord Cutting, Internet, networking, Wi-Fi, servers, streaming music, PLEX, SONOS, speakers, surround sound, Atmos and more. This will be an in-depth look at Chris’s setup that is sure to be interesting and educational. Follow the ZOOM information below to join us.
