The TechDAS Air Force Zero turntable weighs 750 pounds and costs $450,000. It features air suspension for both the turntable and the platter(s) bearing, and new old stock Papst syncronous motors originally used for the Revox tape recorder capstans. There is an optional 50 pound titanium top platter for $50,000. Michael Fremer concludes “For those who can afford such an extravagance, I say, why not?
