Featured Guest(s): Paul Milner, PhD
Subject(s): How Age & Loud Music Affect Our Hearing & Modern Approaches to Hearing Correction
What were you doing 13 years ago? Members of the Boston Audio Society and guests were undergoing an 'audiophile' hearing test at
the Hearing Care Center (BASS V19n1). You will be given an opportunity to have your hearing tested or re-tested at our next BAS meeting and to compare
your new vs. old results with Dr. Milner, PhD. He is the principal practitioner at the Hearing Care Center and is a Massachusetts-licensed Clinical
Audiologist®. Dr. Milner is Board Certified and he holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), and, most importantly, he
is a long time member of the BAS.
Dr. Milner, because he is an audiophile and curious about hearing at the hearing extremes, expanded the typical range of the adult
hearing test from nominally 125 to 8,000 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Our reduced cost for the hearing test is the same, $25.00. All hearing test results will be
kept confidential.
Paul's lecture will include the modern high-tech approaches to treating hearing loss and the effects of loud music and age on hearing
competency.
