Topic: Demonstration of a Professional High Quality
Monitor
Founded in Great Britain (1974) to manufacture custom drive units for the
professional sound industry, ATC quickly made its mark with the 12"
PA75-314. They were capable of handling more power, producing less distortion,
and going louder than any other unit of comparable size on the market. 1976
saw the first production of the ground breaking Soft Dome Mid, this unit
revolutionized studio monitoring. The 1996 period heralded the launch of
ATC's first Audiophile stand-alone electronic products and an active speaker
system with built in phase correction and crossover. Peter Mitchell (past
BAS President) was among the group that championed their low distortion
speakers. He was also the first person to direct my (AF's) attention to
ATC Loudspeakers. (ATC website: www.atc.gb.net
