About CES

CES® Is the Global Stage for Innovation

CES® maintains that it is the ‘…most influential tech event in the world — the proving ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators.’ The CES Las Vegas, Nevada destination is where the world's biggest brands do business and meet new partners, and the sharpest innovators hit the stage. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, CES features every aspect of the tech sector.

The first CES took place in New York City in June 1967. Since then, thousands of products are announced, displayed, and demonstrated at the yearly show. January 2021 was the first CES presented entirely on-line. CES is not open to the public. Last year it featured 4000+, on-line exhibitors. For 2022, all exhibitors were present for an in-person show.

For this BAS-CES report, Dr. Wacks has viewed multiple video presentations, and often YouTube cinemas to help us comprehend what is in-line for our home, refrigerator, video, or audio nirvana. Ken says that it wasn't easy compiling the menu for this presentation. His initial list of products and videos ran three hours. He has edited his presentation to about an hour and a half of products ranging from A/V to health, pets, robots, chess, and body art.
