1. The New Yorker has a long article
about the acoustical renovation of Geffen Hall (formerly
Fisher Hall), home of the New York Philharmonic.
Since its inception in 1962 it has been plagued with acoustical
problems. Leo Beranek's reputation was damaged as a result,
though they made changes ( added more seats) without his knowledge.
