1.  The new issue of the BASS has been published.  It has two examples of counterfeiting on the Web, how to deal with your old LPs, a reviews of Barbie and Dune 2, a shocking tale of earplugs, correspondence on loading MC cartridges, commentary on Ken Fritz’s $2M system, the October 2023 Epson meeting and the White Elephant Sale meeting.

2.  In Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance there is a sublimely funny duet for Mabel and Frederick and chorus of girls.  She is singing a sappy love song “Did ever maiden close Her eyes on waking sadness.  To dream of such exceeding gladness!” While the chorus is singing in counterpoint about the weather “How beautifully blue the sky.  The glass is rising very high, Continue fine I hope it may and yet it rain’d but yesterday.  dbsystemsaudio.com/g.mp3

3. The BAS is looking for a new webmaster. The current webmaster will train you and hand it over to you, and provide support as necessary. The website is written in simple HTML. You will need a computer and a high speed internet connection (you will need to download a 6GB backup in a reasonable amount of time). $300 is the annual payment. You may be asked to support admin of the BAS Facebook pages as well.
